What Is Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty?

Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure without incisions or cuts that allows for reducing the size of the stomach to ensure successful weight loss. Performed under light sedation and with a shorter recovery period, the procedure is simple and patients return to their normal routine after a few days of recovery at home.

Who Is A Candidate For Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty?

Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) is ideal for patients who have a BMI of at least 30 and have not been successful in losing weight with diet and exercise. It is also a less invasive option for those who do not want or cannot undergo gastric bypass, or those whose physical condition prevents bariatric surgery. The most important condition is to commit to the health and nutrition program during treatment.
